Forging Ahead
For the past 1 1/2 years we have been going through fertility treatments. At times it has been difficult, sometimes heart breaking but we are still hopeful for the future. God has given us a deep desire to have children and while we do not know the how or the when we continue to have faith that it will happen.
Currently we have begun saving for IVF. We are collecting recyclables (cans, plastic, glass, cardboard, magazines, newspaper) and we are selling items we no longer need or want (online and garage sale). If anyone would like to donate, whether recyclables or items to sell, we would appreciate it.
Cyndi has been writing journals on a blog of all the specifics of the treatments, along with information she has come across, and blogs by others who are or have struggled with infertility. Shortly she will switch that blog from private to public for those of you interested in knowing all of the nitty-gritty details.

So... who is a gunna help?
On Monday I will be attempting to take all of this to the recycling plant. By my estimates it will take me 2 1/2 car loads (in my 4runner!) to get it all there.
We have saved up all of these from:
walking around the stadium after ball games
24 hour fitness (they have a ton of H20 bottles)
our friends!!!
Thank you again KJ, E, Curly and our parents.

Weird
So a few days after the 5K I innocently went to the mailbox. Inside I found this little envelope from spectrum sports. I had no clue who they were or why they would be sending me something.
Then I opened the envelope and what dropped out, my DL!
Thank you Spectrum Sports for sending my DL back!
So....that happened.
So very early the Mr. and I woke up to get to the MLB All Star 5K
I was participating, while he played shutterbug
The final leg took us around the warning track in the stadium
Sprinting for the finish
3.1 miles later...
reward
My goal was to not walk at all, and I did that. I jogged the entire 5K.
Next up: Completing a 5K in 36 min. or less

Shower of Love
On Sunday afternoon everyone gathered...
to shower these women with love!
I love this laugh.
Thoughtful contemplation on words of encouragement and wisdom to impart...
the words were then written on cards and put in a book for Monica to read whenever she needs
There was fierce competition during the games!
Deliciously cute monkey cupcakes were consumed.
Welcome to the world Jacob!

Malibu-ya
Friday the 2nd Jeri invited me along on her Friday afternoon outing. Lunch at Flame Broiler was our first stop, gotta love those buy one get one freeeee. Then we headed up the coast to Malibu to a small state beach, El Matador. Jeri and I explored the beach, sat and enjoyed the weather and waves, walked along the highway and goofed off taking some photos.
