I scoff at your question, its obvious you wanted us to pick the current VP nominee on the republican ticket, but I think you are really going for Teddy Roosevelt:
1. was 42 at the time
2. obviously loved the outdoors
3. shote lions and other wildlife during his many hunting trips.
4. was part of the progressive republican movment.
5. had a few kids, given his 2 marriages
6. was only governor for a short time in NY
booyah.
