Sights to See

the mr. and mrs. are getting leaving in a week for a much needed vacation. paul was lucky enough to get two weeks off this year. this is the most he has ever taken at one time. we will be heading to washington d.c. area.

my question to you is what should we do and see while there?
i am not sure how many surrounding states we may wander into... so your suggestions do not have to be just in d.c.

read the walls at the jefferson memorial. very powerful. also, you gotta check out the smithsonian. you could spend a full week there & have more to see.

have a great time!

Because I was just there I can give you some pointers on some things. And just because you are family I have my metro card with a whole 60 cents still on it just for you!

um... if ur willing to make the drive , which i've been told is not that far, i think u should go out to pennsylvania and visit the amish. it's really pretty county and the shops offer some great finds and well ya know the town names offer some kick ass magnets for the fridge ;0)
also: b sure to check out the smithsonian, i luv'd it but then i'm a sucker for museums (especially: the modern art one) ;0)
oh! also - i think it's called the "crackerbarrell" i'll have to check on that, but it's supposed to b a really great resturant out that way, my dad swears by it everytime we go and it's got a cute lil' store attached.
have fun!! i'm terribly jealous ;0)

Oh yeah, you have to eat at Five Guys, I'll tell you where there are 3 located that I know of.

If you do see the Amish, you'll scare them with your demon-ry car!

Be sure to see the American History Smithsonian, sure it might be closed to the general public, but i'm sure you can find your way in.
