Uh... WHY? Which bands are you fans of?

I would only go if Frente were playing like the first one we went to. Thats right FRENTE!!

I'll see your Frente and raise you back to back performances by Chumbawamba and Smashmouth at the one Acoustic Christmas I went to.

And to answer Jeri's question...I really want to see Social D (again) and the Killers. Other bands I'm interested in but probably wouldn't pay to see them on their own: Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars, Tiger Army, the Bravery, and Tim Armstrong's solo act.

I would ONLY want to see Social D and The Killers. Remember when KROQ didn't suck?!!?!?

And Paul - Don't forget that the Sneaker Pimps and Everlast played together the following Acoustic Christmas... And it was Powerman 5000 the next....

Best (and only) Weenie Roast I went to:

Echo and the Bunnymen, Blur, Oasis, Chemical Brothers, and the Cure (along with Wallflowers, Social D, Don Ho, Foo Fighters, and Offspring)

what do you guys have against the swedes?

and paul...ARE YOU REALLY COMING UP TO WORK???????

You were at that Weenie Roast too? It was pretty good, but I'm partial to the year before that with Boingo and Violent Femmes closing out the show. My only real complaint was that thanks to the Offspring's garbage throwing stunt, the Cure didn't go on for a few hours.

Lisa: I'll find out for sure today. Tuesday to Friday should be sure thing...possibly Monday too.

I remember when these concerts used to be awesome. Now it's just a suck fest. Man I got old....

Yes, but camp doesn't seem like work. I'll be up midday Monday.

I think part of the problem is that they don't bring in enough of the established bands like they used to. There's so much competition for the services of bands for summer festivals that they all end up with one or two big names and then a bunch of newbies. Sometimes it just takes a while too. At the first Weenie Roast I went to, some of the one-hit wonder bands they had were Green Day, the Offspring, and Counting Crows. You never know who's going to make an impact in the future.

score. see you then!

-i totally used to take vacation from my 55 hr+ job to work at camp. good times.

Yes, I'll forever hold that trash-throwing thing against the Offspring. But hey, the Cure went on so late that lots of people left and we got to move closer!
