Holy Crap. That was the coolest video! I loved the shots at the end with the boys standing in the crowd at various concerts. Through the first half of the video, I kept saying "Where's Dylan? Where's Dylan?" And then they had the shot of him.
Any glaring omissions for anyone? I'm suprised there weren't more contemporaries that Bono loves, i.e. Brandon Flowers, Snow Patrol, Coldplay...most of the contemporaries were rappers (and Mary J. and Alicia Keys).
I don't know if I missed them or not, but I would have expected to see Leonard Cohen or Van Morrison. Maybe even REM. Out of the ones you listed, the only one I see making the cut at this point is Coldplay.
Jeri, you didn't get the Cure, but you did get a shot of Morrissey. That's good too, right?

Something for everyone except Cure fans! Haha. Just kidding. That video made me want to get out about 20 albums..

Why not the Killers, if the White Stripes made it?
Not just Morrissey - THE SMITHS. Haha. I wonder if that's a statement from the band. Yes, I was very happy to see that.
