Milestone
Black Beauty has served me well over the last 9 1/2 years (she has hit the ripe old age of 15!). I fear that she might be running out of time and that from this point on every mile becomes a milestone (currently she is at 231,132), fairly soon I may have to hold her together with duct tape. I am willing her to keep going -- make it to 250,000 but I am not sure that it is in the cards for her.
Time will tell...

Run Forrest Run (5K)
A group of folks from the office decided to sign up for a 5k on a beautiful Sunday morning. We had a great time walking/running together and enjoying a delicious breakfast afterwards.

San Fran
My cousin Becky is getting married!!! There was an engagement party in the Bay Area to celebrate. My mom and I flew up to spend the weekend. My Uncle Bill & Aunt Marie took us out to dinner at a delicious restaurant upon our arrival. The following day we got to spend with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
We decided to drive out to the Charles Shultz museum which was about an hour drive from where we were staying. I loved seeing all the memorabilia, old comic strips and sculptures.
This is a wall that was taken out of the Shultz home. It was at one time a wall his daughter asked him to draw on for her. Eventually it got covered by layer after layer of paint. Finally a family who had heard of what was underneath all that paint in the home they bought decided to uncover it. The family felt that this wall needed to be on display so they donated it to the museum. So amazing to see early renditions of Snoopy and Charlie Brown!
We even got to eat at the Warm Puppy -- a restaurant inside the ice arena where Shultz had breakfast and lunch each day.
Although my mom grew up in San Fran it has been many decades since she was down at the piers so we stopped by Pier 39 to look through the shops and have lunch before it was time to head home.
